In March my daughter and I did a short Wine Probe in the Texas Hill Country. It was fun and of course, we returned with several bottles of Texas wine. I have also joined a group called “Wineaux” but so far have only attended one event that was very nice and relaxing.
This past weekend took a jaunt up to Sisterdale and purchased some crosses this talented young man makes with a chain saw out of dead wood, mostly from his property. He does use white oak, spanish oak and his father in law provides him with some “medina oak”. He marks and numbers all the crosses so if you forget, or never did ask what kind of wood your crosses is, he can look it up for you.
I have been visiting a lot of the Texas Hill Country lately and it has been fun and informative.
Sisterdale is wonderful! Some of my friends live in Comfort, so I’ve been through there a number of times. Have you been over to Comfort yet? Well worth it – there are some great artists there, tucked into corners. And a really cool antique shop in the old theatre.
I need to get up there again – it’s been too long!
Hey, Linda, good to see you! Yes, I have been to Comfort and lots to see and do. Just haven’t gotten out and about there lately. I love the antique shop in the theatre.
This weekend the last of the Granddaughter’s volleyball game. I think her Mom and I were ready to be done with the traveling.
Thanks for stopping by.
